Wei-Xian Zhang is Associate Professor of Environmental Engineering at Lehigh University. He received his B.S. degree from Tong-Ji University, Shanghai, China, and his M.S. and Ph.D. from the Johns Hopkins University. He joined Lehigh in 1995. Dr. Zhang is the Guest Editor of the first issue on Nanoscale Environmental Science & Technology published by Environmental Science & Technology in March 2005. Dr. Zhang received the NSF’s CAREER Award (2000) and the Lehigh University’s Class 1961 Professorship (2002). Lehigh Valley Magazine chose him as one of the Movers and Shapers of Lehigh Valley (2002). NASA Tech Briefs has selected his iron nanoparticle technology as one of the “Technologies of the Year” (2003).
